After completing my degree in 1999 I began working as an art teacher in Bell-lloc dl Pla School. It was during this year that I rented a studio and I started to work on my first Jazz themed exhibitions. The numerous jazz festivals and events in the area provided me with the opportunity to create a variety of brochures and to exhibit my work in various towns and cities such as Girona Torroella de Montgrí, Figuerese, Terrassa and Barcelona.
In 2003, after spending four years dividing my time between teaching and painting I decided it was time to dedicate myself to painting on a full-time basis. However, although I found I had more time to paint I had less money to spend! Luckily I won a scholarship sponsored by the Fita Foundation, a foundation that is dedicated to helping young artists from Girona. I set about creating a series of works inspired by the graffiti world using the same tools as the street artists combined with my own style of using acrylics and collage. This resulted in an exhibition entitled ‘Recycling Graffiti' and the creation of a mural on the outer walls of the Fita Foundation. The scholarship provided me with the opportunity to rent a bigger studio and to meet other artists from Girona.
Apart from painting I have also done illustrations for books and murals in various locations.
In 2005 I was awarded a prize in the ‘Certamen International contest of plastic arts of Alicia Alonso' hosted by the Annta Gallery of Madrid .
And now? Well I continue to paint of course, always looking for new ideas and inspiration …and having a good time in the hope that you like my artwork
